Postcards – not only Silent Films

‘From the Josef Jünger Collection

The postcard does not indicate which film it is. However, the hat that Asta Nielsen wears does not allow any other conclusion than that it is actually a photo that was made during the filming of “Der Totentanz” (Germany 1912).

Roas Porten as a female Sherlock Holmes with all the necessary accessories: flat cap, pipe, coat.
The question remains whether this is a photo from a film.

Brigitte Helm in “Scandal in Baden-Baden” by Erich Waschneck; Germany 1928. The film cannot be shown at the moment because the 35mm print only has english flash titles (i.e. the titles have only one single frame).
